the steam heat does something to carpet fibers that just spraying cold water never did for me. Stains that I had basically accepted as permanent lifted on the first or second pass. I've used it on carpet, a fabric footstool, and the car mat so far.
The hot and cold modes are something I actually switch between depending on what I'm dealing with. Hot steam for older set-in stains, cold for fresher spills. Having that choice makes a real difference instead of just blasting everything the same way.

The steam and suction combo on this is something I wasn't expecting to work so well together. Previous ones I used either steamed OR sucked up water, never both in a way that actually cleaned deep. This handles both without feeling underpowered.

18kpa suction sounds like a spec on a box but you genuinely feel it pulling the dirty water back up. After going over a stain the water in the tank is visibly murky, which honestly is satisfying proof that it's doing something real.
My last carpet cleaner left everything soaking wet and took forever to dry, which always stressed me out. This one pulls so much moisture back out with the suction that the carpet feels barely damp after. Way better than anything I've owned before.

the portable size is actually portable, not just smaller than a full machine but still awkward. I carried it between two rooms and up a half flight of stairs without it being annoying. Light enough that I actually use it instead of avoiding the chore.
