The 10 preset programs are actually really useful once you figure out which one does what. There's a noticeable difference between the sorbet setting and the gelato setting in terms of how the machine churns. I've been experimenting and the results are genuinely different depending on which program I pick.

the pint size is actually perfect for trying new flavors without committing to a huge batch. i'll do a small test run of something like lavender honey and if it's good i'll make it again. way less waste than my old full-quart machine.

Every machine I've owned before this one was loud enough to wake up the whole house. Like genuinely disruptive. This one runs quietly enough that I've had it going in the background while watching TV in the same room and it doesn't bother me at all.
Honestly I just use it without overthinking it. Threw in some heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla, picked one of the preset programs and walked away. Came back to actual ice cream. Nothing complicated about it.
