I was worried the flip doors might feel flimsy or pop open on their own, but they stay closed really well and the mechanism feels solid every time. Nothing rattles around inside either which was a big thing for me after a previous cabinet I had basically fell apart after a few months of use.
Four separate flip compartments means four totally independent storage sections, which I use to separate my everyday shoes, my work shoes, my husband's shoes and a spare section for guests or seasonal stuff. Never thought a shoe cabinet would actually change how organised my hallway feels but here we are.
Honestly just bought this w/o overthinking it and it fits way more shoes than I expected. The adjustable shelves inside make a huge difference because I can actually fit my chunky boots on one level and stack flats on the others. Told my friend to grab one too and she had the same worry about boot height, fits hers just fine.

what i really like is that the adjustable shelves aren't just one height option, you can actually move them to a few different positions so ankle boots and flat sandals can both fit comfortably in the same cabinet. it keeps everything way more organised than just throwing shoes on a rack.
