the automatic function is really smooth, you just insert the bag opening and it takes over from there. no holding buttons down or babying it through the cycle. it detects, pulls the vacuum, seals, and stops on its own.
honestly the dual seal is just better than the single strip machines, bags never pop open after sealing. use it a couple times a week for meal prep and it just works.

What I noticed pretty quickly is that the dual heat seal leaves two parallel seal lines on the bag. That means even if one strip is slightly off, you still have a second seal holding everything. For raw meat going in the freezer that kind of redundancy actually matters.
Told my neighbor to grab one of these after she kept complaining that her old sealer needed separate bag rolls and scissors to cut everything. She picked this up and texted me saying she loves how the cutter is just right there built in. Makes the whole process so much faster.

The built in cutter is honestly what sold me and it lives up to it. You just roll out however much bag material you need, cut it right there on the machine, seal one end, fill it, then vacuum and seal the other. No scissors sitting on the counter, no guessing where to cut.
My last vacuum sealer was a nightmare to clean because the seal strip would get gunky and the whole thing felt flimsy after a few months. This one is built so much sturdier and the dual heat seal actually closes bags properly the first time, every time. No more half-sealed bags leaking in my freezer.

I was a little hesitant because I had a cheap one years ago that would always leave air pockets no matter what I did. This one pulls the vacuum down tight before sealing so you actually get a proper airtight bag. Really happy I gave vacuum sealers another shot.
