had one of those old round stackable ones before and the airflow was always uneven, stuff on the bottom tray would be done hours before the top. this one runs completely even across all eight trays, which honestly surprised me.
Eight stainless trays gives you a huge amount of surface area compared to what I expected. I can do a big batch of beef jerky and several trays of herbs at the same time. The trays slide in and out smoothly and are easy to rinse off after.

My last dehydrator had plastic trays that warped after a few uses and left a weird smell in everything I dried. These stainless trays are completely different, no odor, no warping, and they wipe clean without any fuss. Made jerky twice already and it came out perfect.

The timer is genuinely useful. I set it before bed, it runs overnight, and everything is done by morning without me having to check on it. The fact that it just shuts off on its own makes a real difference when you're doing longer drying runs 😊.
the temp control goes low enough for herbs and high enough for meat, so it actually covers everything I want to dehydrate. most cheaper ones i looked at had a pretty narrow range, this one feels much more versatile.
Honestly just started using this without any big expectations and it works exactly how it should. Eight trays gives you a ton of space, the temp dial is easy to read, and the timer shuts it off so I don't have to babysit it. Told my sister to grab one too and she said the same thing, way better than she thought it would be.

I was worried the temperature control would be vague or inconsistent like cheaper models I've seen, but it holds steady the whole time. Dried a full batch of apple slices at 135 and every single piece came out evenly done, nothing overdried on the edges while the middle was still soft.

What I noticed right away is how quiet it runs. The fan is steady but not loud at all, which matters because I usually run it in the kitchen while we're in the next room. Also the stainless trays look and feel much more solid than anything I've used before.
